Dr. Wright began his employment with the Southside Urology & Nephrology on November 1, 2010. He received his M.D. degree
from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1990. He did his residency in surgery at Northwestern University
Medical School form 1990-1992, and his urology residency at Northwestern University Medical School from 1992-1996.
Dr. Wright practiced at Foothills Urology in Rutherfordton, NC from 1996-2010. He served as Chief of Surgery at
Rutherford Hospital from 2007-2009. Dr. Wright’s interests include cabinetmaking and wood turning. His musical
talents include the bassoon, saxophones, and piano. He is married with one son and resides in Danville.
