Dr. Stephanya Shear graduated from the University of Vermont in 1989 with a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Biology. She attended the University Of Washington School
Of Medicine in Seattle where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine in 2002. She completed her residency in Urology at the University of Rochester in New York in 2008.
After residency, Dr. Shear completed a Bioethics Fellowship at Treuman Katz Bioethics Center and one year of a Pediatric Urology Fellowship at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Dr. Shear joined the Danville location of Southside Urology & Nephrology in July 2011. Her professional affiliations include American Urological Association, American
Associations of Pediatric Urology, and American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, and Society of Women in Urology.
As evident from Dr. Shear's many affiliations, she has a strong interest in Pediatric Urology and looks forward to bringing her specialized training in Adult and
Pediatric Urology to the community.
