Dr. Renato Roman graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Public Health with a B.S. in Public Health – Cum Laude. He received his
Doctor of Medicine from University of the East in 1991. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in 1996. After
completing his Nephrology fellowship in 1998 at the University of Virginia, he moved to Danville, Virginia. He is married and now has three children.
He joined the Southside Urology & Nephrology in 2001. He serves as Vice-President and Lab Director of the Southside Urology & Nephrology. He is board certified in
Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is an active member of the American College of Physicians, Renal Physicians Association and the American Society of
Nephrology. He has served as Chief of Medicine and Chairman of the Nutrition, Pharmaceutics and Therapeutics Committee for Danville Regional Medical Center
where he is on active staff. He also has courtesy privileges at Martinsville Memorial Hospital and Halifax Regional Hospital. He is the Medical Director for
Home Dialysis Program in Danville and the Fresenius Medical Center Hemodialysis unit in Blairs, Virginia.
